Koh Lanta
Koh Lanta: Thailand’s Chill Island Paradise You’ll Want to Keep Secret Some islands throw all-night raves. Others bombard…
Krabi is a province on southern Thailand’s Andaman Coast. It includes the popular beach towns of Ao Nang and Railay Beach, as well as the islands of Koh Lanta and Koh Phi Phi. The dry season runs from November to March. The wet season runs from May to October. Krabi is known for limestone cliffs, rock climbing, island hopping, and longtail boats. The nearest airport is Krabi International Airport (KBV).
The Andaman coast has a distinct wet season (May to October). The rain is real. So are the empty beaches and low prices. Choose your dates carefully.
Railay is stunning and crowded. Ao Nang is a backpacker strip. Koh Lanta is for those who want to escape the party.
You need a scooter to explore most of Krabi properly. You also need an International Driving Permit. The police checkpoints are frequent.
Do not try to see all of Krabi in 4 days. You will spend your whole trip on a ferry.
The trick is not avoiding Krabi. It is picking the right beach or island for your personality.
